The Course Director Training Course is conducted exclusively by PADI's most senior training professionals. It is among the most rigorous certification events in recreational dive education — and one of the rarest.

The PADI IDC (Instructor Development Course) is an intensive, hands-on training program that transforms certified Divemasters into confident, professional PADI Open Water Scuba Instructors.
