2. What Data We Collect

We collect personal data only when you voluntarily provide it. This occurs in the following situations:

• Contact / Info Pack form: First name, last name, email address, WhatsApp number (optional), current certification level, preferred IDC location and preferred IDC dates.
• WhatsApp contact: When you message via WhatsApp, WhatsApp processes your message under its own privacy policy. We receive and respond to your message.
• Email contact: When you send an email, we receive your email address and any information you choose to include.

We do not currently use analytics tracking, advertising cookies, or third-party profiling tools on this website.

3. How We Use Your Data

We use the information you provide exclusively to:

• Respond to your enquiry about PADI IDC training
• Send you the requested IDC Info Pack
• Provide information about upcoming course dates and availability
• Follow up on your application or consultation request

We will not use your data for unsolicited marketing, and we will not share it with third parties for advertising purposes.

4. Legal Basis for Processing

Under the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and the Swiss Federal Act on Data Protection (nDSG / revDSG), we process your data on the following legal bases:

• Contractual necessity (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR): Processing required to respond to your enquiry and fulfil a potential training agreement.
• Legitimate interests (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR): Following up on an expressed interest in our training programmes.
• Consent: Where you have given explicit consent (e.g. subscribing to updates), which you may withdraw at any time.

5. Third-Party Services

This website uses the following third-party services that may process data:

• Formspree (formspree.io): Our contact form is processed by Formspree, Inc. (USA). Your form submission is transmitted to and stored on their servers. Formspree is GDPR-compliant. See Formspree Privacy Policy.
• Google Fonts: This site loads fonts from Google Fonts (Google LLC, USA). Your IP address may be transmitted to Google servers when the page loads. See Google Privacy Policy.
• WhatsApp (Meta): WhatsApp communication is governed by WhatsApp's Privacy Policy.

6. Data Transfers Outside the EU/EEA

Formspree is based in the United States. Data transfers to Formspree occur under standard contractual clauses as required by GDPR Chapter V. We do not otherwise transfer personal data to countries outside the EU/EEA or Switzerland.

We retain your personal data only for as long as necessary to fulfil the purpose for which it was collected — typically the duration of our correspondence and any subsequent training agreement. If no training relationship begins, we delete enquiry data within 12 months.

• Rectification: Ask us to correct inaccurate data.
• Erasure: Request deletion of your data ("right to be forgotten").

• Objection: Object to processing based on legitimate interests.
• Withdraw consent: Where processing is based on consent, withdraw it at any time without affecting the lawfulness of prior processing.
